A Stable Mind

trying to function 

and not be a slacker 

just hope my cheese 

stays on my cracker 

paying rent 

groceries and car bills 

just hope I don’t 

lose my marbles 

stressed and tired 

confused and bored 

hope I don’t land 

in a psych ward 

life can be hard 

and people unkind

Jesus, please give me 

a stable mind
